Flooring installation for hardwood, LVP, and tile
Flooring installation sets the tone of every room it runs through, because the floor is the largest continuous surface in a house. Most of the result is decided before the first plank goes down: how flat the subfloor is, how the transitions are handled, and whether the trim is dealt with properly or just covered with a quarter-round strip. We plan that part rather than discovering it mid-installation.
What it covers
What our flooring installation includes.
- Removal and disposal
- Existing flooring taken up and hauled away, with dust contained rather than spread through the house.
- Subfloor preparation
- Leveling, patching, and moisture checks, which is the step in any flooring installation that decides whether the finished floor stays flat.
- Hardwood and engineered wood
- Hardwood flooring installation, and refinishing where the existing wood is worth saving rather than replacing.
- Luxury vinyl plank
- A practical choice for households with pets, children, and the slab-on-grade construction common in North Texas.
- Transitions and trim
- Thresholds, stair nosing, and baseboard handled so the floor meets doorways and adjacent rooms cleanly.
Scope and cost
What moves the number.
We do not quote a price before seeing the home. These are the things that change it, and we will tell you which ones apply to yours at the walkthrough.
How flat the existing subfloor is, which is the most common source of surprise cost
Whether the slab shows moisture, which rules some materials in or out
Whether flooring runs continuously between rooms or stops at thresholds
Whether baseboard is removed and reset or left in place with shoe moulding
Stairs, which take significantly more labor per square foot of flooring installation than open floor

Common questions
Questions we are asked.
Usually not. We work room by room or zone by zone and tell you which areas will be unavailable on which days.
Sometimes, but it is not always the cheaper decision once transitions, door clearances, and height differences are accounted for. We will walk you through both options before you choose.
We handle normal furniture as part of the scope. Anything unusually heavy or fragile is worth flagging at the walkthrough so it is in the written estimate rather than a surprise on day one.
